About Us

Sarah Garcia-Mares

Hi everyone I’m Sarah, host of Mind if we Chat?. I began Mind if we Chat? with the hope that I can help create more awareness regarding mental illness and mental health disorders. I believe that knowledge is power and each episode I release is for the purpose of bringing my audience information that will help them become informed, aware and related to.

The goal of Mind if we Chat? is to create a safe space with our community, share vital resources, raise awareness for mental health and remove the stigma surrounding mental health. MIWC strives to promote normalizing mental health with men and women in and around our community. The hope of each episode is that the community has a platform to share their experiences and have their voices heard with no judgment, no blame and no stigma around their thoughts, feelings, emotions and their personal struggles .
Ultimately, the hope of the MIWC is to begin to open up more conversations about mental health and end the stigma that surrounds mental illness, mental disorders and emotions. MIWC’s core belief is wellness is rooted in community. If we work together, we can change the narrative in regards to mental health and people in our community can begin to heal.
